Brief Summary
What Does Can These Bones Live offer the reader? This work offers church leaders, pastors, and lay people a practical guide to help revitalize their churches. Henard first addresses why church revitalization is important, he then examines the statistical analysis of the state of the church in the United States and its need to wake up! After the first two chapters, Henard takes the rest of the book to show how the church should walk through a revitalization process. This is the most helpful and practical book that I have seen on this topic. It meets a very real need for any pastor, church planter, or lay person who wants their church to grow for the glory of God. May the bones wake up, and may the gospel of the Lord Jesus be preached!
Why Should Pastors in the South Read This Book?
1. Churches need Revitalization. The truths in this book are helpful for pastors struggling to revitalize the churches they have been called to, this can provide encouragement for pastors and seem like a breath of fresh air.
2. This work helps establish plans to guide pastors toward implementing revitalization in their own local churches.
3. If your church has a few problems, it isn’t the only church with a few problems. The author makes this work very relatable so that it is easy for readers to understand the issues/problems that are a part of revitalization.
4. Jesus will take care of the Jezebels, but pastors need to stay in the fight. Don’t give up. The King is on his throne, and he cares for the under-shepherds. If there is any way our team at DSR can help you, let us know. If we can pray for you, let us know. If you would like to attend a healthy church or a church striving to be healthy, let us know! You only get one life, and it will soon pass. Only what is done for King Jesus will last!
